Changes to New Zealand visa rules

On August 8th, 2018, the Immigration Department of New Zealand (INZ) officially passed a new visa law for international students studying in Kiwi. Accordingly, there are many changes that are very positive for international students. Koru Education would like to summarize the following changes:

- Post Graduate Diploma Program (Level 8): Stayed for 3 years after graduation.
- Undergraduate Programs (Level 7): Being allowed to stay 3 years after graduation (the old rule was 1 year), regardless of major.
- Graduate Diploma Program (Level 7): The program is the same as in Vietnam called Diploma Two, staying for 1 year if studying in Auckland or 2 years if studying outside Auckland (the old rule was 1 year) + 1 year if studying the profession with a certificate of practice.
- Certificate – Diploma Program (Level 4.5-6): Stay for 1 year after graduation if studying in Auckland or 2 years if studying outside Auckland (old law is 1 year), regardless of occupation.
