For a private education institution, check its registration, relevant EduTrust certification and the awarding institution. Read the student contract, teaching location, duration and progression terms before paying.

Check Student’s Pass requirements

ICA’s requirements depend on the institution type and the student’s immigration status. Check the current guidance for your provider and course rather than assuming every course qualifies.

Budget and practical training

Plan in SGD for tuition, housing, living expenses and compulsory fees. If a course includes an internship, ask for written details of eligibility, placement arrangements and costs; distinguish opportunities from guaranteed employment.
