Korean student visa

1. Update on multiple entry visa issuance:
The Ministry of Justice and the Immigration Administration of Korea issued a new regulation that from March 1, 2017, all people who have entered the country without a visa as before, including those who entered the country more than 10 times or 04 consecutive times within the last 02 years, will not be eligible for visa exemption. Entry into KoreaTherefore, all of the above mentioned subjects are required to apply for a visa before entering Korea. 2. Types of student visa application in Korea:


In addition to the documents classified by each study abroad program as below, general documents for a student visa include:

- Visa application in English or Korean, passport (12 months to the date of submission).
- 01 application photo taken on a white background, size 3.5cm x 4.5 cm and taken within the last 03 months.
- The original of the admission paper.
- A copy of the business registration certificate of the school to be studied in Korea.
- A copy of the identity card (with the original).
- The tuberculosis test report.
- Information registration form of applicants for study visa.

Master's and Doctoral study abroad visa:
General papers:

- The certificate of the highest learning capacity (the original and notarized translation).
- The financial proof (see details in Section 2).

Study Abroad Visa:
Requirement: good master card.

General papers.

- The certificate of the highest learning capacity (the original and notarized translation).
- The financial proof (see details in Section 2).
- Research certificate (for example: Certificate of foreign postgraduate student).

Study abroad visa by exchange program
General papers:

- A copy of the record on student exchange between the two schools.

- The decision of the university in Vietnam sending to study abroad (the original Vietnamese and the notarized English/Korean translation).

- 02 copies of the student card or the certification of the student sent to study abroad with a stamp (original and notarized English/Korean translation).

- Transcripts of the semesters of study of the university attending in Vietnam (original and notarized English/Korean translation).

- The financial proof (see details in Section 2).

College or university student visa
General papers:

- Diploma and school records (original and notarized English/Korean translation).
- Graduation diploma and transcript (if graduated from university or master's).
- Study plan, self introduction (students write themselves in English or Korean)
- Curriculum vitae (original and notarized English translation).

English Study Visa
General papers:

- Study plan paper sent by the school to study in Korea (including timetable and information about the lecturer ...)
- Diploma and school records (original and notarized English/Korean translation).
- Graduation diploma and transcript (if graduated from university or master's).
- Study plan, self introduction (students write themselves in English or Korean)
- Curriculum vitae (original and notarized English translation).
- The financial proof (see details in Section 2).

3. Documents to prove financial Korean student visa application
Account balance consideration criteria

- University, college, master's, doctoral student visa (D-2): Deposit 20,000USD in a bank for at least 03 months to the date of application.

- Student visa under the exchange program of 2 universities in Vietnam - Korea (D-2): Send $ 9,000 to the bank for at least 03 months to the date of submission.

- D-4 student visa: Deposit USD 9,000 to the bank for at least 03 months to the date of submission.

Notes: Do not accept transferred/transferred savings books or savings books of credit bureaus. About financial guarantee (Only guarantee from parents):

- Papers proving family relations such as household registration book, birth certificate, etc. (notarized English translations).

- Documents proving the financial status of the parents such as: occupation proof, certification of monthly income ... (notarized English translation).

- The parent's commitment to provide financial guarantee for the child to attend school, certified by the locality (the original and the notarized English translation).

- The original and photocopy of the account book and the original in English of the written confirmation of the deposit balance issued by the bank closest to the date of submission of the application (only the written confirmation of the deposit balance issued within 10 days to the date of submission of the application).

Cases where biological parents have died or are both in Korea:

- Brother/sister-in-law or brother-in-law/sister-in-law (Korean nationality) financial guarantee.

- Papers proving family relations in Korea and Vietnam, such as: household registration book, birth certificate .. (notarized English translation).

- Financial proofs of the guarantor (original and English translations with merit)
evidence).

- A locally certified financial guarantee commitment on the signature (original and notarized English translation).

- The original and photocopy of the account book and the original in English of the written confirmation of the deposit balance issued by the bank closest to the date of submission of the application (only the written confirmation of the deposit balance issued within 10 days to the date of submission of the application).

In case of Korean guarantors refer to the instructions in Korean.
* Korean professors of science students will enter the guarantee:

- The original of the financial guarantee commitment for the student (specifying the amount of scholarship, the number of scholarship terms and the professor's personal seal).

- The original certificate of the specimen seal of the professor.

- The original of the professor's professional certificate granted by the university.

- The original of the financial proof of the professor (for example, the written certification of the bank account balance, the written certification of the research fee to be received by the professor ...).

In case of scholarships:

- If the scholarship is less than 100%: Scholarship certificate (original) and documents proving normal finances as students studying abroad on their own.

- In case of full scholarship (100%): Scholarship certificate (original).

Applying the assessment results of universities:

- Students applying for admission to universities in South Korea are exempted from the application should prepare to submit the following:

- Passport, visa application, admission paper (original), copy of the university's establishment registration in Korea, the tuberculosis test result sheet, copy of ID card.

- Applicants for admission to universities in Korea are exempt from application can apply for a visa at the Korean Consulate in Vietnam, or apply for a visa code at the Korea Immigration Department.

The time to check the student visa application is 28 days. However, in case of additional consideration, the time will be longer to review the application, so it should be noted to submit the application on time to timely admission.
