Bodwell High School is a private boarding high school located in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The school is located on Harbourside Drive, overlooking Burrard Inlet and Vancouver Harbour.

Founded in 1991 with the goal of "providing a diverse cultural environment for students from all over the world, and helping them become active learners and good citizens who make positive contributions to the world”, Bodwell has nurtured many generations of successful students on their path to learning and integration in Canada, the United States, and wherever they choose to live and work. Bodwell graduates are accepted into the top universities on their wish lists. With a network of over 8,000 alumni around the world, Bodwell is proud to be a part of their journey to growth and development.

Bodwell is a boarding school for both boys and girls, specializing in preparing students for university, providing the IB-MYP program for students in grades 8 through 10 and the British Columbia Provincial Higher Education Program for students in grades 10 through 12.

Our students have won numerous awards from the National Mathematics Competition, the Provincial Examinations and the SAT. Our staff are fluent in many languages, our faculty are enthusiastic and experienced, the rate of Bodwell graduates entering universities is consistently high (97%), and many students receive scholarships.

Located on the northern shore of Metro Vancouver, Bodwell High School is just 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver, where students can enjoy world-class facilities such as museums, famous universities, libraries, stadiums, etc.

Comprehensive support: The teachers, school counselors and dormitory supervisors are always ready to support you in all aspects of your life and study at Bodwell. Parents will be regularly updated on their child's learning and activities through the school's MyChild portal.

Boarding Facilities: more than 500 rooms, separated for boys and girls, along with modern facilities such as swimming pools, gyms, libraries, canteens, basketball courts, multi-purpose halls and music rooms, ensure a comprehensive student experience during the critical stages of adulthood. Bodwell also enhances technology by equipping SMARTBoard boards or high-resolution TV screens for all classes as well as laptops for each student enrolled at the school.

Certificates: All students who complete our 12th grade program receive a Dogwood Certificate. This British Columbia Provincial Certificate of Graduation is recognized globally.

Outstanding academic programs

Academic Preparation and English Language Program

Classes 8 and 9 are divided into three language levels and classes 10 and 11 are divided into four language levels.

Once a specific level of English proficiency is achieved, students are taken to the next level.

Academic Programs

Bodwell's courses in grades 8 - 12 are designed with academic development in mind.

Graduates receive a high school diploma issued by the British Columbia Department of Education, recognised by universities worldwide.

Bodwell School limits each class to a maximum of 24 students, with an average of 19 students per class.

Enrichment Classes

Students will enroll in one course on Saturday of each semester in one of the following subjects: English Language Preparation; Global Citizenship; Career Studies; Outdoor Education & Sports; New Media and Performing Arts.

College Exam Preparation

The College and Career Guidance Group helps students use their skills and aspirations to find the best opportunities for happiness and success. Through workshops, presentations, university tours, and relationships with a variety of college admissions staff, this group guides students through the college application process.

Input Conditions

Students with a score of 7.5 or higher in the last 3 years of study.

Pass the school interview.

You may be required to take the entrance English test (or IELTS) or/and the entrance Mathematics test
