The United States is also famous for having a very diverse climate and terrain due to its large size.

Climate in America

The climate in the United States varies widely across the country, divided into different regions.

The Pacific Northwest, including states like Washington and Oregon, is almost the wettest, but the average temperature remains 320C and can get even hotter in the summer. Make sure you bring enough warm clothes for the winter, but also don't forget sunglasses and lighter clothes for the summer.

The South Central Pacific includes California, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and Montana. These are very dry states in the summer, where California is known for great weather, so it's best to bring warm layered clothing, especially if you're in the north, and don't forget to bring swimsuits. Colorado, Utah, and Nevada are very famous for skiing in the winter so pay attention to wearing warm if you want to go there.

If you're in the Southwest like Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma and parts of Louisiana and Arkansas, then you're in the hottest climate and also the region with the highest rainfall, so a rain jacket or an umbrella is not superfluous. Summers are usually very hot, with temperatures around 380C.

The Northeast and Southeast of the United States rain all year round, with warm, mild summers and autumns. The winters are not long, but you still need warm clothes. Summers are great and warm, so thin clothes will always be needed.

Illinois, the Dakotas, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Indiana states are located in the Midwest. Although generally quite dry, the area is often very cold, snowy, and windy in winter, with temperatures reaching -400C. Make sure you have enough heat-resistant clothing and warm coats. Summer is quite pleasant so you can absolutely wear your favorite summer clothes.
