England is the second country in the world with many universities in the ranking of the 100 most prestigious universities (after the US) of the Times Higher Education Magazine, and also ranked second in the world in the number of prestigious Nobel Prizes (according to The Richest).

But not everyone is eligible to study in this country, there are many students who have to put aside their dream of studying abroad because they have not met the conditions to study abroad. 1. Conditions on educational level

The British education system has many differences from the Vietnamese education system. 2. Conditions on expenses

When it comes to studying in the UK, many people are afraid of the cost. However, in return, the duration of courses in this country is usually shorter than in other countries. Specifically, the bachelor's program takes place only in 3 years and the master's program is only 1 year. This not only saves you money, but also saves time and gives you the advantage to start a business sooner than your peers.

Normally, the cost of studying in the UK will be divided into two basic types of tuition and living expenses. 3. Conditions on student visa

The United Kingdom is a country that applies a visa approval system based on the Points-Based System. In order to be granted a visa to study in the UK, you must prove to the Consulate that you are accepted to a course at a school, a training institution has been licensed by the British Border Department. Besides, you must also provide proof to prove that the family has enough financial resources to support you during your study in the UK. In addition, you must also provide sufficient personal identification information at the British Consulate in Vietnam.

The average time to approve a student visa application is 3 months. UK student visa has the following basic categories:

Visa is suitable for students who register for short courses or 11 months of English:

  • Short-term student visa: You can apply for a short-term student visa if you are 17 years old or younger and wish to study in the UK for at least 6 months (or 12 months if you are travelling with an adult for study or research purposes).
  • Short-term student visa: You can apply for this type of visa if you are 18 years of age or older and you want to study in the UK for at least 6 months. If you are only studying English courses, you can apply for a visa extension of up to 11 months.

The following two types of visas allow you to take longer courses in the UK. The course you choose must be taught at a university, college or other level of education that is on the UK Border Office's list of schools permitted for international enrolment.

  • Tier 4 Student Visa: You can apply for this visa if you are between the ages of 4 and 17. Between the ages of 4 and 15, students must come to the UK and study at a private school for a fee.
  • Tier 4 Regular Student Visa: This type of visa is for students who are 16 years old or older and take a course lasting more than 6 months in the UK. With this Tier 4 visa students will be allowed to work overtime during their studies in accordance with the UK Border Department regulations. You can extend your visa after immigrating to the UK provided that the school where you attended certifies your new course as a continuation of the previous course.
