
Unlike the education system in Vietnam, the first semester in South Korea starts in March, the summer vacation takes place in July, August. The second semester starts in September and lasts until the end of December. Next is the second vacation or winter vacation that lasts until the beginning of February. The Korean school system can be divided into 5 levels as follows:
Primary education: 6 years (mandatory)

Primary school
Primary education Study in Korea is considered the highest educational obligation. The vast majority of primary schools in South Korea are in the public system. The purpose of primary school is to educate the most basic knowledge needed in people's life. The rate of primary school attendance in South Korea reaches almost completely (except for children with special circumstances). Achieving such growth is due to the high education fever of the people and the government's education policy. Korean children from 3-5 years old attend kindergarten, about 5 years old can attend primary school but usually until 7 years old they enter grade 1.
Junior High School
The purpose of junior high school is to carry out basic education higher than that which was learned at the primary level. Junior high school is also the highest educational obligation of Koreans. High school
The purpose of the high school is secondary education and basic professional education. The high school system is divided into high school, vocational high school and other high schools. The duration of the school is 3 years and the tuition is paid by the student himself. Vocational high school and other high schools are selected by the student himself. Masters and PhD
If you graduated from a university, you can study for a master's degree, doctorate degree and diploma. Master's degree usually takes 2-3 years, and doctorate 2-4 years. Most universities in Korea have master's and doctorate programs, so it is not difficult to choose to study for master's and doctorate.
