Common visa categories to the UK

1/ Visiting Visa

Please note that these forms are general information only. The visa officer may still ask you to submit additional documents if necessary.

Visiting Visa

  • Go travel or visit friends in the UK
  • Visiting relatives including parents to visit children who are studying in England

Transit Visa

  • Conventional transit (Applicable for transit between two airports/ports in the UK, transfer of aircraft, immigration or stopover in the UK for less than 48 hours). This visa is for transit without entering the UK.
  • Direct Transit (applicable in case of exchange of aircraft at a single airport in the UK without immigration)
  • Crew – Crew

Business Visa

Special Visitor Visa

  • Go with Purpose Healing
  • Visiting with Purpose marriage
  • Parents visiting their children is studying in the UK. This applies if your child is under 12 years old and is studying at a paid school
  • Visa short-term schooling for those who wish to take a short-term course in the UK. Note that you must enroll with an educational institution that has been identified as a Tier 4 guarantor. Choosing this visa option means that you are not a student and are not allowed to work or extend your visa in the UK.
  • Potential students

Long-term Visitor Visa

You may consider applying for long-term visa if you are visiting the UK frequently. Long-term visas include 1 year, 2 years, 5 years and 10 years. You should consider carefully before applying for a long-term visa because it is possible that the visa will be rejected or may only be granted with a shorter term. In both cases of rejection or shortening of the visa period, the fee is not refundable.

2 / Study visa

Short-term Study Visa

For those who want to take a course short-term study in the UK. Note that you must enroll with an educational institution that has been identified as a T4 sponsor. Choosing this type of visa means that you are not a student and are not allowed to work or extend your visa in the UK.

Normal (mature) T4 student visa and younger T4 student visa

Type of visa by T4 Area of the UK scale system will create more opportunities for students than the short-term study visa. Students under the T4 category are allowed to work part-time (usually up to 20 hours / week) and are allowed to extend their visa in the UK if necessary.

3/ Work visa

Please note that these forms are general information only. Your visa officer may still ask you to submit additional documents if necessary. You should also refer to: UK Immigration Law because your visa application will have to satisfy the conditions in this Law.

Visa to work with and without a license

T1- High Qualified Worker Visa

  • People who go for investment purposes (T1 Investor) - for those who want to make a large financial investment in the UK.
  • Business travelers (T1 Entrepreneur) - for those who want to invest by establishing a business or franchise and actively participate in running one or more businesses in the UK.
  • Working after graduation (T1 Post-study work) - for those who have graduated from a school or academy in the UK no more than 12 months before the time of visa application and want to work in the UK for a certain period of time.

4/ Immigration visa

Immigration by spouse, same-sex marriage

You need to apply for a visa by this category if you wish to settle in the UK with your spouse, partner, boyfriend or girlfriend who will be residing in the UK or who has been residing in the UK

Immigration under the guarantee of relatives

You apply for a visa by this category if you want to live in the UK with relatives who are residing in the UK

Settlement as an elderly depends on relatives living in the UK

If you are a grandparent, parent or relative who is living dependent on a relative who holds British citizenship or who is residing in the UK, you may apply for this visa if you wish to reside with them in the UK. Please see the instructions for this visa on the website of UKBA
