- Vocational certificate IV: 4-6 months
- College: 1-2 years
- Advanced College: 1.5-2 years

2.2 Roadmap for vocational training in New Zealand
- At the end of grade 11 in Vietnam: learn vocational certificate 3 then learn to 4 vocational certificate or college = > advanced college = > bachelor if desired. Particularly in NZ, very few vocational schools accept students out of 11;
- At the end of 12th grade in Vietnam: learn vocational certificate 4 or college, or advanced college- optional => bachelor if desired or only stop at college / advanced college. Students can also study bachelor programs at schools with bachelor training;
- Vietnamese undergraduate students can study postgraduate certificate/diploma or master at vocational schools with training.
2.3 Regulations on overtime work and immigration when studying in New Zealand
- Students are allowed to work 20 hours / week while studying and work full-time during the holidays;
- 2 years if graduating from level 4-6 courses and non-level 7 courses outside Auckland area and 1 year if in Auckland area;
- Students are employed and settled in the form of skilled work when eligible.
- Opportunity to settle after 2-3 years working in Australia, New Zealand or other countries.
2.4 Conditions for studying in New Zealand

2.5 Financial proof

- Requirements for courses shorter than 9 months
2.6 Proof of finance with a shorter course of 9 months in New Zealand:
- NZ$1000/ month for the entire period of your stay in New Zealand.
- NZ$400/month, if you have paid off your rent (you will have to prove this before you go to New Zealand)
- A letter from your institution saying that rent and living expenses are already included in the package of tuition you paid
Proof of payment can be in the form of cash, a traveller's check, a bank draft or an international credit card with a credit line sufficient to cover the cost of living and renting in New Zealand.
2.7 Applications for overseas vocational training in New Zealand
- School transcripts/ transcripts of the last 2 school years;
- Graduation diploma or temporary graduation confirmation;
- English certificate- if you have one;
