What is a Visa 485?
Visa 485 Australia (Subclass 485 – Temporary Graduate visa) is a temporary residence visa issued by the Australian Government for international students who have just graduated from an Australian school. It requires completion of a 2 year or longer course.

How many types of Visa 485?
1.Graduate Work Stream
-Subjects: International students who have graduated from the Skilled Occupation List.
-Term: 18 months from the date of issue
-Fee: AUD 1,650 for main application
-Time for dossier consideration: From 3 to 4 months
2.Post – Study Work Stream
-Enrollment: International students who have graduated from a qualified institution in Australia, regardless of their major
-Duration: From 2 to 4 years from the date of issue depending on the qualification of the visa applicant.
- Fee: AUD 1,650 for the main application.
-The time for dossier consideration: From 84 days to 3 months
*The duration of the visa corresponds to the qualification as follows:
-2 years: Bachelor Degree, Bachelor of Honors Degree, Masters by Coursework Degree or Extended Masters Degree
-3 years: Masters by Research Degree
-4 years: Doctoral Degree
III. Benefits of owning Visa 485
1.Residence rights
With a 485 post-graduate (Graduate Work stream) visa, applicants can stay in Australia for 18 months.
With a 485 post-study work stream visa, applicants can stay in Australia for 2-4 years.
If the applicant graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's degree: in Australia for a maximum of 2 years.
If the applicant completes the Master of Studies degree: in Australia for a maximum of 3 years.
If applicant holds a PhD: in Australia for a maximum of 4 years.
2.Rights to education and labor
Applicants are allowed to study and work in Australia for the duration of the visa.
3. Guarantee right of relatives
Applicants can sponsor eligible relatives to travel to Australia.

V. Australian visa application process 485

Step 4: The applicant shall supplement the dossier and papers [if any] as requested
