- VISA (Visa): You must have a valid visa to enter Australia. - COVID vaccination certificate: Australia recognises 10 COVID vaccines you can check here https://www.studyaustralia.gov.au/english/latest-travel-and-visa-advice/covid-19-vaccine-information/covid19-vaccine-information and make sure you get the vaccine at least 7 days before departure to Australia for dental value.
- Air ticket: You check the flight, time and make sure to bring your passport and visa upon departure.
- Check the immigration requirements of your destination City: Read the requirements for vaccines, quarantine, and other necessary documents when you go through immigration. You can check these first with the school you are going to study at to understand the regulations when you arrive.
- COVID test before departure: Australia has now dropped the requirement to test for COVID before entering, however you must check the regulations of the airline you are flying with, as there are some airlines that have their own regulations before boarding.
- Medical declaration: All visitors to Australia need to declare their DPD prior to arrival. You will need to prepare your passport/Airfare/Covid injection schedule/Address in Australia to complete this form. - Travel Insurance: Besides OSHC, you should also buy travel insurance for your flight. You can refer to the information of the airline you buy or the agent you are using for information.
- Contact details in Australia: Before departure you should have the phone address of your place of residence, the phone address of your school, the phone address of your family in Vietnam.
- Australian Dollar Currency: Although there is an exchange office at the airport, please prepare your AUD before departure to spend when you arrive in Australia. - You are allowed to bring and are not allowed to bring anything into Australia: Australia has strict border controls and you need to know what you can and can't bring into Australia. Australia's biosafety laws have been strengthened and penalties will apply if you fail to truthfully declare biosafety goods at the Australian border. This means that when you arrive in Australia you must declare: – Any food, plant materials and animal items – Handguns, weapons and ammunition – Amount of AU$10,000 (or foreign currency equivalent) – Some medicines.
